Unfortunately, our 10th Annual SYNMIKRO Symposium had to be cancelled due to the Corona-Virus Outbreak.
Nature is an incredible source of biologically active molecules. More than 200,000 different natural products have been isolated from plants and microorganisms and many of them are used in modern medicine as antibiotics, anti-cancer drugs and in other applications.
Leading scientists from academia and industry will come together to highlight recent breakthroughs and future trends in natural product research and discuss the potential of biologically active compounds for new therapies. Please find here a poster and here a flyer with the program.
Participation in the symposium is free of charge but registration is required.
Please visit: www.synmikro.com for your online-registration.
After the scientific meeting we organise a public talk (in german), held by
Tobias Erb (Director MPI Marburg): Microbes for Future: Wie Mikroorganismen das Klima beeinflussen und uns beim Klimaschutz helfen können.
Joint research activities of the Campus Research Focus „Microbiology and Virology” aim to identify microbes‘ and virus’s overarching strategies and how they interact with each other, as well as with the host.
