Who We Are
Pathfinders Mittelhessen is a self-organized network of researchers who share a passion for the outdoors. We are scientists and academics based in the Marburg-Gießen area and across the wider Mittelhessen region. Together, we explore the scenic trails of Central Hesse — on foot and by bike.
While our core group is based in Marburg and Gießen, we warmly welcome researchers from outside the region. Whether you’re visiting Mittelhessen from another city or country, you’re invited to join our tours.
What We Offer
- Regular outdoor activities – Scenic hikes, bike tours, and more throughout the year: on weekends, public holidays, or after work.
- Community-led events – All members are encouraged to suggest and organize tours. All events are free. No membership fees.
- All skill levels welcome – Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hiker or cyclist.
- Easy access – Tours are planned to be reachable via public transport.
