Doctorates at the Graduate Centre are usually cooperative doctorates between the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences (THM) and Justus Liebig University Giessen (JLU) or Philipps-Universität Marburg (UMR). For each dotorate, a leading university with the right to award doctorates, is determined. THM has the right to award doctorates in the area of Life Science Engineering, JLU and UMR all of the above-mentioned subject areas.
