Prof. Dr. Christin Kreutz

Prof. Dr Christin Katharina Kreutz – Tandemprofessor for "Data Science in the Humanities"

Since May 2024, Prof. Dr Christin Katharina Kreutz has been working as a tandem professor for ‘Data Science in the Humanities’ at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe. In this position, which is supported by the FCMH, interdisciplinary synergies between computer science and the humanities are promoted in order to establish new approaches in data-based research.

Dr Kreutz completed her PhD in computer science at the University of Trier and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Cologne. Her research includes, among others:

 

  •   Information access systems
  • Simulation of user behaviour
  • Design and evaluation of user interfaces
  • Text simplification and scientific recommendation systems
