The goal of the Research Campus of Central Hessen (FCMH - Forschungscampus Mittelhessen) is to strengthen the research landscape of Central Hessen in the long term and to establish innovative structures for ongoing leading-edge research. To this effect, the Justus Liebig University Giessen, the Philipps-University of Marburg and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen/University of Applied Science proudly present the launch of their Research Infrastructure Database Central Hessen (FinD Mi - Forschungsinfrastruktur-Datenbank Mittelhessen). This innovative platform offers a comprehensive overview of the large-scale and special research equipment of the three universities in Central Hessen and marks a groundbreaking milestone in the promotion of research cooperation and the shared use of resources.
By clicking the banner below or under the link www.find-mi.de we offer researchers and employees of the three partner universities as well as external cooperation partners of the FCMH the opportunity to access the comprehensive database and search for required research equipment or infrastructures. Regardless of whether it is the use of certain state of the art – sometimes unique – technologies for one's own research projects or for the purpose of cooperative projects within the framework of FCMH joint applications: FinD Mi facilitates the access to relevant information and contacts.

What is FinD Mi?

The universities, partner institutions and external interested parties benefit from the project in several ways:
- Comprehensive overview of existing resources (transparency)
- Increased efficiency through better utilization of equipment
- Improved overview of new and replacement equipment and infrastructures (e.g. avoidance of cost-intensive duplicate purchases)
- Improved environmental sustainability
- Establishment of new research synergies and collaborations
- Strengthening of the strategic exchange between the universities in Central Hessen and the partners involved

The currently visible resource overview only represents a part of the existing range of devices and is continuously expanded by newly added devices. In the future, devices from regional non-university research institutions will also be included in the database in order to strengthen the network even further. The web portal will also be gradually expanded to include additional functionalities.
Interested university members can log in with their university login credentials to access detailed device information and contact details. Users who would like to integrate their devices or infrastructures into FinD Mi are welcome to get in touch with us.
