PITCH-CONTEST „INNOVATIVE MINDS“ –

Pitch-Contest "INNOVATIVE MINDS" - unleash your ideas!

On 12 March 2025, the INNOVATIVE MINDS Pitch-Off will take place in the Lokschuppen in Marburg as part of the FCMH funding line for research projects ‘Experimentation Spaces’ and the Creative Space funding of the University of Marburg.

The INNOVATIVE MINDS Pitch-Off offers you the unique opportunity to present your creative research approaches and innovative ideas to a broad audience, to gain funding for their realisation and to network with researchers from various disciplines.

3 reasons why you should pitch your project ideas:

1. funding: the best project ideas receive funding or start-up financing of up to €5,000.

2. network: Find new cooperation partners and expand your project team with additional expertise.

3. training: All participants who pitch their ideas will receive professional pitch training in advance (on 10 March 2025).

Who can pitch their project ideas?
The pitch contest is aimed at doctoral students, postdocs, research assistants and professors at FCMH universities (Justus Liebig University Giessen, Philipps University Marburg, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen). Not only mature project ideas can be pitched, but also ideas in the early stages, for which, for example, further project participants are sought to complement the project team in an interdisciplinary and cross-university manner.

How do I register if I want to pitch a project?
You can register by 24 February 2025 with a brief description of your idea (see link) Please note: As places are limited, the first-come, first-served principle applies - the earlier you register, the greater the chance that you will be able to present your pitch. There will be no pre-selection of the projects presented. Currently, there are now more places available, you can only apply to the waitlist.

Can I take part even if I don't want to pitch a project myself?

All interested parties are cordially invited to participate. Please register (see link). As a spectator, you also have the opportunity to support the project teams with your expertise or spontaneously join project teams if the project managers would like to expand their team. To do this, you should attend the event from 13:00. From 24 February 2025, all projects that will be pitched on 12 March 2025 will be presented on this page.
