The Board of Directors is responsible for strategic leadership of the Research Campus. The presidents of the participating universities function as directors.
Our Structure
As a cross-university institution pursuant to Section 53 of the Hessian Higher Education Act, we create structures in which research, knowledge transfer, and the promotion of young talent go hand in hand. Our cooperation agreement regulates our structure.

Steering Committee
The Board of Directors entrusts the Steering Comittee with exercising operative leadership. The members of the Steering Committee are the Vice Presidents responsible for research at the participating universities.
Management Office
The Administrative Office manages the ongoing operations of the Research Campus and supports the committees and governing bodies in fulfilling their responsibilities.

The Research Council supports and advises the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee on the strategic development of joint research topics, the promotion of young researchers, and scientific infrastructure.

International Advisory Board
The Board of Directors is advised by an external International Advisory Board made up of internationally recognised persons from science and public life.
Partner Network
The Research Campus of Central Hessen maintains close cooperation with non-university research institutions in the region. The resulting high level of research intensity in the region attracts leading researchers and highly qualified young scientists from all over the world.
Task Forces
Staff from the administration and science management departments of the FCMH universities form cross-university task forces to work together on solutions to current challenges and issues and to actively shape the future of the association. The task forces are self-organised.
